DTCC INNOVATIVE PRESENTATION WEBSITE
UI/UX design
PROJECT CONTEXT
PowerPoint has been a popular presentation tool used to display information in a clean format. However, as different audiences respond to presentations differently, PowerPoint's transitions and text/layout placement can either be too distracting and unprofessional or lack user and audience engagement and interactivity

Furthermore, accessing presentations across departments in the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) requires many steps, which can often create inefficiencies when needing to reference important information.
As interns under DTCC, we were tasked with introducing a development and design plan for creating an online presentation tool.

How can we design a presentation tool/template that promotes easy accessibility and user/audience engagement?
Our Journey
RESEARCH
After meeting with our project leads, our research began with observing DTCC's current PowerPoint presentations. We then gathered inspiration from online presentation tools as well as other websites to understand the user functionality and layout that we wanted to include in our design and development.
SYNTHESIS
In order to better empathize with our users, we had to consider our specific audience and the types of presentations they would submit.

Audience Types: DTCC Employees
Common DTCC Presentation Types: Quarterly Annual Reports, Project Introductions, Project Meetings

WIREFRAMING
Once we collected our ideas, we developed mid-fidelity wireframes to visually communicate our ideas before handing off the project to full-time DTCC analysts.
REFLECTION
Completing our design approach, we ended our internship journey by presenting our design and development plan to DTCC's Innovation Council. Once our idea was approved, we handed off our project to full-time DTCC analysts to fully design and develop our innovative presentation tool.

Overcoming Challenges
- Developing a design plan in a short span of time improved my ability to work under pressure with consistent tasks/demands and approaching deadlines each week.
- As I lead the wireframing process of our design journey, I had to work on aligning my design skills and thought process with my teammates' programming skills and thought process; this allowed us to be able to learn more about what we each could bring to the team as well as how, therefore solidifying our ideas.
